HIPS

 

We have rapidly gained considerable experience in the speedy production of Home Information Packs and would say we now have this service down to a fine art.

For sellers who choose to instruct us to deal with the conveyancing aspects of their sale as well as the preparation of their HIP, we will prepare the HIP free of charge. The expense incurred by you therefore would be limited to the costs of obtaining the Energy Performance Certificate and the various search reports and title documents that form the HIP. The cost in particular of the local search can vary from authority to authority and we would ask you to pay in advance a sufficient sum on account to cover those expenses. Payment can be taken instantly over the telephone by credit card for your convenience.

At the same time we can provide you with a quotation of our fees for dealing with the sale of your property. Ultimately, upon completion of your sale the Completion Statement will show the expenditure on the various search fees etc incurred in connection with the preparation of the HIP and will give credit for the payment on account. If the expenditure is less than the payment made then credit will be given for the balance. If the expenditure if greater then what is likely to be a small balance will be collected upon completion of your sale.

If you choose not to instruct us on your sale then we shall make a modest charge for our work in preparing the HIP which sum is payable upfront before the HIP is prepared.
